Our objective
Golden Isles Veterans Village’s sole objective is to rebuild the self-confidence of veterans experiencing homelessness, so that they can once again become independent, self-supporting, productive members of society. The aim is to accomplish this within a one-to-three-year period.
Our mission
Simply stated, our mission is to transition a community of up to twenty-nine veterans experiencing homelessness into society as self-sufficient, productive members.
Our goal
- Provide safe and secure housing for veterans experiencing homelessness.
- Create a community-centric setting to screen, house and provide comprehensive programs addressing the broad spectrum of needs of all resident veterans, so that they can transition and reintegrate into society.
- Assist residents to determine benefits and entitlements.
- Transition residents to self-sufficiency by providing counseling and medical screening, and access to job training programs leading to employment contacts.
- Work collaboratively with the community to help our veterans heal, so that those who have given so much to us can successfully reintegrate into society.
