Golden Isles Veterans Village is a transitional community in Brunswick, Georgia: twenty-nine tiny homes, a laundry center and a community center, built to help veterans experiencing homelessness get back on their feet.

The Village consists of twenty-nine tiny homes, a laundry center and a community center. It is designed to create a community environment where veterans can reside, gather, and receive health services, education and job training, so they can return as independent, productive members of society.
The difference
Veterans Village is not a homeless shelter. It is a programmed environment. By addressing the needs of veterans experiencing homelessness, this transitional program — combined with the educational and job training opportunities made available — gives veterans the hand up they deserve, to help them move from homelessness into the local community as productive members of society.
The goal is to turn veterans’ lives around, both immediately and for the long term. It is not intended simply to provide a roof over their heads; it is to address the many factors that led a veteran to become homeless, to help them heal, and to give them the skills they need to reintegrate into society. To learn and grow as individuals. Simply put, Golden Isles Veterans Village is designed to provide healing and support to those who have given so much to this country.

Golden Isles Veterans Village addresses the complex factors behind veteran homelessness, and recognises that military occupations and training do not always transfer to the civilian workforce.
This is a community project, supported by businesses, corporations, individuals and community groups. We need your support to make it successful and give our veterans the hand up they deserve.
